Exercises to Build Chest Muscle
-Build Chest Muscle #1: The first exercise is the king to build chest muscle with and it is called the bench press. We have all seen it in the gym and is probably the first thing most people associate with a gym.
Bench press is a great build chest muscle exercise and focus on your triceps and shoulders as well. A quick advice on the bench press is to inhale as you pull the barbell down and exhale when you push it upwards. This can make a huge difference on how much you can lift.
-Build Chest Muscle #2: The dumbbell pullover is another great exercise to build chest muscle with, as well as your triceps and shoulders.
Take a dumbbell and let it rest on your thighs. Lie down on the bench and lift the dumbbell with both your hands and let your elbows bend a little. Now slowly lower the dumbbell behind your head until you feel a stretch in your chest and return to the start position.
-Build Chest Muscle #3: The dumbbell bench press is great for using free weights. It is performed the same way as the regular bench press. I recommend that you switch up between dumbbells and a barbell to surprise your body.
-Build Chest Muscle #4: The dumbbell flyers are also great for your chest area, as well as your shoulders. Lie on a bench and hold a dumbbell in each hand. Extend your arms above your head, but make sure to keep the elbows bend a little.
Now lower the arms to the sides all the way down until you can feel a stretch in your chest. Make sure to keep the elbows bend under the process. Return to the start position and repeat.
-Build Chest Muscle #5: Cable crossover is another awesome exercise to build chest muscle with. Start to put the pulleys all the way up on the cable machine. Grab the two handles and take one step forward, with one leg in front of the other.
With your arms a little bend, extend them from the side until they reach each other in front of the chest and you feel a stretch in your chest area. Return and repeat as needed.
Build Chest Muscle – A little reminder
It is up to you if you want to use an incline, decline –or flat bench for the 1st, 3rd and 4th exercise. I recommend that you include them all at different times to build chest muscle.
